PCC 1st XI kept up their 100% record with another dominant display in beating Barbarians by 262 runs.

Hilal Ahmad led from the front, scoring 116 from 80 balls to bring up PCC’s first century at the new ground. Sudesh Wickremasinghe again came in to boost the total at the end, scoring 80 from just 28 balls (including eight sixes) as PCC amassed 295.

And Barbarians’ reply was soon in tatters, as tight bowling piled the pressure on. Hygi Namburi took three wickets, and Martin Glew and Rajh Gnanatheeswaran added two each in bowling the Barbars out for just 33.

On Saturday, Vinohrady’s batting once again struggled as they were bowled out for 101, well short of Dresden’s 260-5. Siva (70) and Ali (61*) starred with the bat for the hosts, and Ali then picked up three wickets for three runs as the visitors’ batting crumbled.

The Saturday game in Prague was abandoned due to persistent rain from 2pm. Bohemians had racked up 165 in 37 overs before the rain arrived, with Alex Sirisena (63*) batting sensibly to steer the team towards a good total. Firas Raheman (3-18) bowled beautifully as PCC 2nd XI aimed to restrict their opponents to a chaseable score, but the rain rendered their efforts moot.
