The PCC 1st XI secured their place in the T20 league final with a nerve-jangling victory over Barbarians with only four balls to spare.
Earlier in the day an impressive bowling display from Bohemians restricted PCC to 94 and, despite an early wobble, Javed and Alex combined to ease their team home.
Barbarians had Haris and Umair to thank for posting a decent total in the second game, but a timely return to form for national team batsman Sudhir proved to be the difference.
This week will see PCC take on Dresden in the T20 league final at 11:00, followed by the traditional “Ambassador’s Day” friendly. This year the game has an Ashes theme, as an England XI will take on an Australia XI in what promises to be a fun afternoon, starting at around 14:30. Feel free to join us, and come earlier to watch the end of the league final!
