The Council of Europe in Strasbourg has released a report criticising the anti-Roma stance of Czech society. Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg told AFP that, “The main obstacles to the integration of Roma in the Czech Republic are an anti-Roma attitude that is deeply rooted in society, hate crimes, and ongoing segregation in the fields of education and housing.”
