Severomoravské Vodovody A Kanalizace (SmVaK) Ostrava has in the past 15 years invested more than CZK 7bn from its own funds. The company has for example invested roughly CZK 1.3bn into wastewater treatment plants since 2000. Every year it invests roughly CZK 500m into sources and infrastructure and it plans to continue with these investments also in coming years. This was stated in a ČIANEWS survey by spokesman Marek Síbrt, who added that the share of unbilled water is falling y/y thanks to investments into infrastructure. In 2012 it totaled 14 % but in 2014 it reached 12.7 % of the overall volume of water produced.
