VÍTKOVICE MACHINERY GROUP (VMG) sold almost 3 million m3 of compressed natural gas (CNG) in 2015; out of the total, the firm sold ca. 2.6 million m3 to end customers in its fuelling station network. The sales increased by 106% y/y to almost CZK 50m. VMG has totally 24 fuelling stations now. Martin Žák, the business director of Vítkovice Doprava, which roofs retail sales of compressed natural gas in the group, higher sales were driven also by demand from public transport companies. Further expansion of the infrastructure in the joint project with BENZINA and the launch of first CNG stations on the highway was an important step.
