Ceske Budejovice, South Bohemia, Dec 24 (CTK) – An explosion and fire in a house in the Czech town of Ceske Budejovice claimed the lives of a man, a woman and an underage boy on Thursday, regional police spokesman Miroslav Doubek has told journalists.
Autopsy was ordered for all the victims. The causes of the accident are being investigated, Doubek said.
The firefighters only found the woman and child after the fire was extinguished, when they were making the final examination of the house, he added.
Doubek said the victims were residents of the house.
“A structural engineer has said the house is unstable. If does not collapse in the moments to come, it will be certainly torn down,” Doubek said.
