Iuridicum Remedium has given out their Big Brother Awards for 2015 to the Czech Police, toy manufacturers Mattel and the Finance Ministry. The award is based on George Orwell’s book 1984 and is given out by the human rights organisation to companies, authorities and people that have intruded on people’s privacy. This year’s lucky winners included the Czech Police, who are notorious for their systematic scrutiny of vehicles.
