Prague, March 2 (CTK) – The recognition of professional qualification of the foreigners who want to work in the Czech Republic will be simpler under the European professional card approved by the Chamber of Deputies on Wednesday.
Foreigners must apply for the recognition of their qualification in over 300 “regulated jobs,” primarily in the health care.
These are the professions even Czechs can only perform if they fulfil some legal requirements.
In 2013, over 600 applications to have qualification recognised were submitted. The crushing majority of them was given a go-ahead.
These were mostly healthcare professions as the Health Ministry reviewed 440 such applications.
The newly introduced European professional card is to be issued in an electronic form on the basis of the Internal Market Information System (IMI) of the European Commission.
In it, the applicant will have a file created along with all the necessary information and documents.
The applications are to be submitted and processed online.
The legislation, yet to be reviewed by the Senate, introduces a warning mechanism among EU countries. Through it, EU members will inform on the people with professional bans in the sphere of health care and education.
