Ramallah, April 4 (CTK) – Prague might be very helpful in dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki told a press conference after talks with his Czech counterpart Lubomir Zaoralek on Monday.
Al-Maliki said the Czech Republic was both a friend of Israel and a friend of Palestine. The situation was very difficult, but there was hope still, he said.
Zaoralek said the Czech Republic was interested in deeper cooperation in developmental aid as well as business relations.
He noted that the solar panels would be installed on nine public buildings in Palestine this year within the Czech developmental aid. For the first time, the projects will concern the Gaza Strip as well, he added.
The Czech aid of $600,000 a year focuses on electrification, infrastructure and social services.
Zaoralek said Prague is interested in the work of an interministerial commission whose next meeting is scheduled for next year in Palestine.
