Cooper Standard Automotive began building a new assembling hall in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem on July 26, 2016, attended by prime minister Bohuslav Sobotka (ČSSD) and representatives of the region and local administrations. By the year 2020, the new premises should create up to 450 jobs in the region. The total investment in the project will reach approximately CZK 1bn. Out of this, CZK 500m will be spent in the first stage on the construction of the hall and its equipment, thanks to which 200 jobs will be created in the year 2017 already. Prime minister B. Sobotka said that investment incentives from the state, among other things, help the company, which employs approximately 1,000 people at present, to grow.
