Prague, Aug 8 (CTK) – The Prague police have admitted that a mistake was made when action was taken against an aggressive woman who stabbed to death a customer in a shopping centre two weeks later, police spokeswoman Andrea Zoulova wrote in a press release on Monday.
She wrote that the General Inspection of Security Corps (GIBS) will investigate the case.
On July 5, a 33-year-old woman attacked another woman, whom she did not know, in a cafe toilet.
According to previous information, she was strangling her with a T-shirt.
The attacker was taken to the psychiatric clinic in Prague-Bohnice, while doctors were not allegedly informed of what happened in the cafe. They released the patient shortly afterwards.
“The police incorrectly assessed the situation, which probably caused that distorted and unobjective information was passed on,” Zoulova wrote.
