Prague, Oct 18 (CTK) – Czech police cooperating with the FBI have detained an internationally wanted Russian hacker who may have attacked aims in the USA in Prague, police spokesman David Schon told journalists on Tuesday.
After his arrest, the man collapsed and had to be hospitalised. A court has remanded him into custody pending the decision to extradite him to the USA, Schon said.
The hacker was in the Czech Republic along with his girl-friend. The police caught him in a Prague hotel.
“Thanks to a rapid flow of information, the man was detained 12 hours after the first operative information was received,” Schon said.
