The wife of a former Czech prime minister has had her suspended sentence on charges of abuse of power increased by a Prague appeals court from two years to three. Jana Nagyova, who was Nečas’ mistress and chief of staff at the time, was convicted in 2017 of ordering the military intelligence agency to spy on Nečas’ estranged wife in 2012. Both, she and the state prosecutor appealed.
