The Ministry of Transport has picked the winner of the tender for the operation of the vehicle register, based on the recommendation from the evaluation commission. The contract was awarded to O2 Czech Republic (O2 CR). The spokesperson for the ministry, Zdeněk Neusar, has told ČIANEWS that the contract has not been signed yet. The current provider, ICZ, will operate the register until September 2015. The 15-day term for appeals commenced on July 29. The Ministry of Transport has informed that if the contract is signed, the government will save over CZK 20m p.a.
