The Czech market of mergers and acquisitions totalled USD 2.8bn in the first half of 2015. The Czech Republic ranked second in the region of central and South-eastern Europe right after Turkey (CZK 3.5b). The Czech Republic occupied the third position in terms of the number of transactions (98). This stems from the survey EY M&A Barometer. Production and services were the most attractive segments in the field of the number of transactions. The demand for the food industry and agriculture, media, telecommunications, and the power industry showed a significant growth.
