Former Czech National Bank (ČNB) governor Zdeněk Tůma has been appointed to a top advisory post to help the European Commission map out its future measures regarding the banking sector in the 27 EU member states. Tůma has been selected by the Commissioner for the Internal Market and Financial Services, Frenchman Michel Barnier, to advise on banking developments in the single market as part of a new committee.
