Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka has come under fire from members of the centre-right opposition as well as from within the coalition government, for withholding full support for a new wave of planned EU sanctions against Russia. Mr Sobotka has long advocated diplomacy to try and deescalate the situation in Ukraine and he is hardly alone.
