In 2012, a total of 370 physicians worked in gastroenterology practices, of which there are 291 in the Czech Republic. Compared to 2011, the number of examinations grew almost 4% year on year to 1.318 mln, and there was also an increase in the number of treated patients, of whom there were almost 572,000.
