Prague, Nov 2 (CTK) – Prague High State Attorney Lenka Bradacova is again the most influential woman of the Czech Republic, for the fourth time in a row, followed by EU Commissioner Vera Jourova and PPF financial director Katerina Jiraskova, according to the Forbes magazine’s standings.

“Lenka Bradacova has long been nominated for the helm thanks to her deeds, courage and diligence with which she gets down to the biggest domestic cases in which top business, politics and lobbying are interlinked and hundreds of millions or rather billions of crowns are at stake,” Forbes editor-in-chief Petr Simunek says.

He mentions the cases of former Social Democrat (CSSD) MP, minister and regional governor David Rath, charged with corruption, lobbyist Ivo Rittig and the dubious sale of the OKD mining company.

Only two politicians are in the top 10 most influential Czech women: Jourova, in charge of justice, consumer policy and gender equality in the EC, who fared fourth last year, and Prague Mayor Adriana Krnacova (ANO) who is fifth.

The Czech version of the magazine has based its assessment on the same methodology as the American Forbes, monitoring 300 women from various fields for the whole year.

The Forbes standings include female managers, company owners, as well as those involved in the public administration, non-profit sector, media, culture and sport.

In the case of company owners and managers, the magazine assessed their firms’ turnover and the number of employees and customers.

In the politics and public administration section, Forbes assesses positions, real powers and the number of people and volume of finances that the respective women’s decisions can directly influence.

“A significant criterion is also how these women can be dismissed from their posts and who has a direct influence on their decision-making,” Simunek said.

Forbes, which has existed in the United States for almost 100 years, has classified the world’s most influential women since 2004. It has been published in the Czech version since November 2012.
