Zlin, South Moravia, Nov 3 (CTK) – Marie Zelnickova who is the Czech mother of Ivana, first wife of Donald Trump, believes in Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential elections scheduled for next Tuesday, she told CTK in Zlin where she has been living most of her life.

“If Donald wins, he will get down to it. America needs it,” said the 90-year-old Zelnickova who will be awaiting the result of the elections with her family in the United States.

The Republican candidate Trump and the Democrat Hillary Clinton, former state secretary and wife of President Bill Clinton, are fighting for the presidential post.

Zelnickova’s daughter Ivana, born in Zlin, married the businessman Trump in 1977 and they divorced in 1991. They have three children, Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric.

After the divorce, Trump married U.S. actress Marla Maples. His present wife is Melania Knauss, of Slovenian origin.

Zelnickova told CTK that she is very glad that her relation with Trump is good.

“The whole family is still in contact. I visit my grandchildren, we play golf on his courses,” she said.

She said she is looking forward to see the children. “Little Don just called me, all of them have a lot to do these days,” she added.

Zelnickova said she believed Trump would cope well even with his possible defeat in the elections.

Zelnickova has been flying to New York for 40 years.

“After little Don was born, I flew to NY three times a year. Now I go there only twice a year. I like it very much there. I always like to go there to see them, but I like Zlin too,” she said.

Zelnickova said she would spend the Christmas holidays with her family in Florida.
