Zaragoza/Prague, Nov 5 (CTK) – A Czech military helicopter with 11 soldiers and five crew members on its board crashed during a NATO training in Spain Thursday, causing five injuries, but no fatalities, the Defence Ministry has said in a press release.
The five injured men were hospitalised, but their lives are not endangered, the press release said.
Spanish papers have written that the helicopter crashed while landing.
The accident occurred during the Trident Juncture training about 15 kilometres to the southeast of Zaragoza.
One crew member and four soldiers suffered the injuries.
The helicopter and its crew are from the 22nd helicopter base in Namest nad Oslavou, south Moravia, and the transported soldiers from a special forces unit.
On Friday, a Defence Ministry commission for the investigation into accidents will fly to the scene of the accident.
