Prague, April 7 (CTK) – A group of 20 activists from the Kaputin group expressed disagreement with President Milos Zeman’s foreign policy and the police intervention against the opponents of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent visit at Prague Castle, seat of Czech heads of state, on Thursday.
The activists staged what they called a “tourist trip” with T-shirts also criticising Zeman’s collaboration with China and Russia.
No incidents occurred.
“This is certainly no demonstration as they are not allowed within the Prague Castle complex,” the group said in its press release.
“It is just the trip of a certain group of people who are close in their political attitudes and views,” it added.
It said the organisers wondered whether they could wear T-shirts with any text and pictures at Prague Castle.
They walked through the complex along with a guide who was telling its history to them.
The police watched the event, but did not intervene.
Some Czech activists complain that the police intervened against them, rather than aggressive Chinese during Xi’s visit.
The media has also written about what it called incorrect conduct of the Czech police.
The government has said the police did well their job.
The incidents will be also checked by the General Inspection of Security Corps (GIBS).
