The minister of industry and trade, Martin Kuba on Monday fired the head of the CzechInvest agency, affiliated with the ministry, over a breach of the country’s public procurement legislation. The decision comes after an audit at the agency showed that a CZK 3.2 million contract to find possible locations for new industrial zones was given to a firm with non-transparent owners, without consulting the ministry and without approaching established firms on the market, as stipulated by law.
