Czechs inform IAEA of higher radioactivity in airspace

The Czech Republic’s State Office for Nuclear Safety (SÚJB) has informed the international agency promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy that “very low” but nonetheles unexplained levels of radioactive iodine-131 have been detected in the country’s air space in recent days. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it has learned about similar measurements in other locations across Europe.
