Prague, Jan 14 (CTK) – Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis will take part in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on January 24-25 to make personal contacts with political leaders, he told Prima TV on Sunday.
Babis said he would attend a lunch hosted by European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in Davos.
He said he would try to persuade foreign politicians that quotas for the resettlement of refugees are a “road to hell” for the European Union. Babis said other countries should understand the Czech point of view.
At the end of January, he is going to have dinner with Juncker in Brussels, Babis told Prima TV.
U.S. President Donald Trump will be among the participants in the Davos meeting, while Russian President Vladimir Putin will not arrive this year. Trump plans to defend his America First programme there.
Former Czech president was a regular visitor to the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in the past.
