Prague, Nov 18 (CTK) – Prague customs officers have revealed 900 tablets of banned anabolic steroids in two parcels sent from the United States to Czech recipients, their spokeswoman Sarka Miskovska told CTK on Wednesday.
Eight jars with the dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) steroid hormone were found in the parcels. The customs office is investigating the case.
The customs officers at the Prague airport have revealed 29 cases of illegal import of anabolic steroids in mail packages this year.
The import of anabolic steroids is illegal in the Czech Republic, being classified by the penal code as a case of production and other handling of substances with hormonal effects.
