Prague, May 18 (CTK) – The defence ministers of the Visegrad Four (V4) will meet in the Czech Republic next week to discuss cooperation in connection with the migrant crisis and the current security situation, Vladimir Lukovsky, from the Defence Ministry’s press section, told CTK on Wednesday.
The V4 is comprised of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. The Czech Republic now holds the presidency of the group.
The meeting will be held in the Conference Centre of the Czech Science Academy in Liblice Chateau, central Bohemia.
The defence representatives will also focus on important issues that will be discussed by the NATO summit in Warsaw in July.
The group’s ministers will focus on the strengthening of the collective defence of the Alliance’s eastern wing, including the V4’s rotation military presence in the Baltic and Poland.
The sending of NATO units to the Baltics and Poland is to be high on the agenda of the Warsaw summit.
