Mosnov, North Moravia, Sept 18 (CTK) – The two-day NATO Days and Czech Air Force Days security show that ended on Sunday afternoon were visited by 130,000 people, Zbynek Pavlacik, head of the organising association Jagello 2000, has told CTK.

Last year, the show had 220,000 visitors.

On Saturday, 55,000 people arrived at Mosnov airport near Ostrava. On Sunday, there were about 85,000 visitors.

Pavlacik said despite the rainy weather on Saturday the programme did not have to be changed as the clouds were not low. Only a single aviation performance was cancelled due to the weather, he said.

The organisers said the show has had the widest offer of events this year. The NATO Days were first organised 16 years ago.

The U.S. bomber B-1B Lancer that can avoid being spotted by radars was at Mosnov airport for the first time. The show also presented the B-52 Stratofortress bomber and other military equipment, a simulated rescue of a hijacked plane and aerobatic teams, among others.
