Prague, March 20 (CTK) – Czech President Milos Zeman will meet Moroccan King Mohammed VI at Prague Castle, the presidential seat, on Monday afternoon, Zeman’s spokesman Jiri Ovcacek told CTK on Sunday, without elaborating.
The Blesk.cz server reported about the king’s private visit to the Czech Republic on Friday.
The Moroccan embassy refused to comment on the information about the king’s visit.
According to the server, King Mohammed VI arrived in the Czech Republic on Friday and he was accommodated in Four Seasons, the most luxurious hotel in Prague. He should stay in Prague until Wednesday.
However, the main aim of his trip is secret and so is the detailed information about the issues that Zeman and Mohammed VI will debate, the server writes.
Before his visit to Prague, King Mohammed VI stayed in Russia. On Tuesday, he met Russian President Vladimir Putin and a day later he talked to PM Dmitry Medvedev, the server wrote.
Morocco and Russia reportedly deepened their strategic partnership during the king’s stay. Putin spoke about “very good bilateral relations” afterwards, Blesk.cz wrote.
Mohammed VI ascended to the throne in July 1999 upon the death of his father, King Hassan II. He is the 22nd ruler of the Alaouite dynasty that has ruled Morocco since the 17th century.
