On the morning of Aug. 21, 1968 — 50 years ago — Czechoslovakia awoke to tanks and machine guns and soldiers. More than a half-million Warsaw Pact troops occupied the country. Most of the action occurred in Prague, the capital. But Brno, the biggest city in Moravia, and its large airport were key parts of the strategy.
