Green Party deputy Olga Zubová wrote an open letter to US President-elect Barack Obama, asking him to review the US stance on the planned military radar base on Czech soil.
“There is a common belief shared by many Czechs that it is you who can guarantee a peace solution, a democratic dialogue and the prevention of useless tension escalation,” she wrote. Zubová said she hoped Obama would advance “further positive development of NATO security policy, which is largely based on a general consensus.”
