Prague, Oct 21 (CTK) – The Czech Republic will on Thursday send ten heated tents for 150 migrants to Croatia, Lucie Novakova, spokeswoman for the Interior Ministry, told CTK Wednesday, adding that the ministry is waiting for specification where to take them.
The ministry is also ready to provide similar aid to Slovenia and Macedonia.
The countries are situated on the route along which migrants mainly from Middle East countries are flowing to Europe.
Of late, hundreds to thousands of them had to stay overnight on the Croatian side of the border with Slovenia without any necessary aids.
The Czech Republic will deliver the tents to Croatia at its own request.
They are military tents with a hygienic lining that can accommodate 15 persons each. They will be delivered together with heating devices, lilos, sleeping bags and blankets, Novakova said.
Interior Minister Milan Chovanec said the Czech Republic is ready to help other countries if they ask for aid.
“We want to help where this is necessary,” he said.
