Bohdan Pomahač: Transplanted kidneys’ half-life is about 15 years – we can’t expect faces to last longer

Bohdan Pomahač led the team that carried out the first ever full transplant of a human face in the United States. The Boston-based plastic surgeon recently received the Gratias Agit award from the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs for promoting the good name of the Czech Republic abroad.
