As part of an operation called LEOS, detectives in Příbram arrested 12 people involved in making and distributing methamphetamine, known locally as pervitin. The oldest member of the ring was the 75-year-old mother of the 45-year-old chemist who made the drug. She was responsible for distributing the drug and shipped it through the mail to a 58-year-old man, who brokered it to a network of distributors, according to police spokeswoman Monika Schindlová.
