Prague, Aug 26 (CTK) – Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will arrive in the Czech Republic for a two-day visit on September 5-6 to meet his Czech counterpart Milos Zeman and other supreme politicians, Zeman’s spokesman Jiri Ovcacek told CTK today.

Both presidents will primarily discuss migration.

During his visit, Plevneliev will first go to Prague Castle, the presidential seat, where he will be officially welcomed with military honours at the first courtyard.

A meeting of both presidents and the national delegations will follow.

“The fundamental topic will be the migrant crisis. Since Bulgaria borders on Turkey, it is a very sensitive, very important issue that will be most probably tabled during the talks,” Ovcacek said.

He added that Bulgaria might become the country through which migrants would be flowing from Turkey to Western Europe.

Plevneliev and Zeman will also talk about economic cooperation and Czech investments.

Plevneliev should meet other Czech politicians, too. Talks with the PM and heads of both houses of parliament are usually on the agenda of such visits.

The Bulgarian head of state visited the Czech Republic last time in 2009 when president Georgi Parvanov arrived in Prague.
