An investigation into the novel coronavirus has examined how long it can survive on different surfaces. The findings of the study recently published by the New England Journal of Medicine, found that in a lab setting the virus remained detectable for up to 72 hours on plastic and steel, 24 hours on cardboard and four hours on copper.
