PRAGUE – While the embankment below Rašín’s Waterfront is full of people on nice, sightseeing-friendly days, Dvořák’s Waterfront remains empty.
However, this could change soon. Architects from the Institute of Planning and Development (IPD) have been preparing a transformation of Dvořák’s riverbank.
The Na Františku area could become a very attractive location in Prague.
People do not go there very much now because of the increased noise of traffic, and an unsatisfactory condition of the waterfront.
Currently, the City of Prague is preparing a reconstruction of the roadway, sidewalks and the adjacent area, including a minute park. All of that was damaged by devastating floods in 2002 and 2013.
The city wants to involve Prague citizens in planning of Dvořák Waterfront’s new appearance. They can express their wishes and suggestions in an online questionnaire (www.spolupraze.cz/nafrantisku) until 5th February.
