Prague, June 18 (CTK) – The police evacuated the Palladium large shopping palace in the centre and the Cerny Most shopping centre on the outskirts of Prague over anonymous bomb threats in the afternoon, Prague police spokeswoman Andrea Zoulova told CTK Thursday.
The Centrum Cerny Most has been reopened. No explosive was found inside.
A police bomb disposal expert is searching Palladium now, Zoulova said.
Traffic around Palladium, situated on a square in the historical centre, was interrupted.
An anonymous perpetrator announced a bomb first in Cerny Most and then in Palladium at about 14:45.
“The evacuation in the Cerny Most centre was terminated at 16:00, no bomb was found,” Zoulova said.
Security measures around Palladium are still underway, she added.
The surroundings of Palladium were also evacuated. This is why tram and bus operation on the square was interrupted and metro trains do not stop at the respective station on the line B, Prague Transport Company spokesman Jiri Stabl said.
