Prague has recently become the latest city where the smart-phone based car-hailing service Uber has become available. Since its launch in San Francisco in 2009, the app has become popular around the world. However, in many cities, the company faces protests by disgruntled taxi drivers as well as official bans over safety concerns. “As we expand and move into new regions, we like to lead with cities that are particularly innovative in terms of technology,” says Uber’s Patrick Studener.
