Prague police have successfully located and apprehended a foreign individual suspected of committing a rape at Letná park. The suspect was taken into custody by Austrian police.
Based on leads from the public, detectives were able to determine that the individual had traveled to Austria. Police spokesperson Eva Kropáčová stated, “Through cooperation with our Austrian colleagues, the 25-year-old man was located and arrested in Linz yesterday (Monday). The process to extradite him to the Czech Republic is currently underway.” The suspect, who is not a Czech citizen, was in the country as a tourist. Once extradited, he will be questioned and potentially charged. The police are refraining from disclosing further details at this time.
