If you’re already considering the idea of escaping to a warm destination next winter, it’s important to take note of the following information. Czech travelers will soon have the opportunity to fly directly to two new destinations: the Caribbean paradise of Cuba and the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc.

Leading travel agencies Fischer and Exim Tours, both part of DER Touristik, have partnered with Spanish airline World2fly to introduce these exciting destinations to the Czech Republic. Utilizing state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft, they will commence flights to these exotic locations starting this autumn. The new destinations include the enchanting Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc, as well as Cuba’s Santa Clara and the Dominican Punta Cana. Although the latter is already well-known among Czech travelers as an exotic classic, it continues to captivate tourists.

Jiří Jelinek, Chairman of the Board of DER Touristik Eastern Europe, expresses his optimism, stating, “We will have a brand new aircraft at our disposal, ensuring that the flight itself will be an exceptional experience for our customers. Furthermore, the plane’s features will allow us to provide the best possible prices.”

Carrying over 400 passengers

The attractive ticket and tour prices are not solely attributable to the Airbus A350-900’s impressive fuel efficiency, thanks to its employment of modern materials. Savvy travelers will soon discover that this particular aircraft, facilitating travel from Prague to these exotic destinations, only offers a traditional economy class. As a result, the plane can accommodate up to 432 passengers simultaneously.

Tranquil Vietnamese Oasis

“Included in the base ticket price, customers will receive a three-course meal, along with an appetizer or breakfast before boarding. Each passenger is allowed to carry ten kilograms of hand luggage, while checked baggage must not exceed 23 kilograms. Additionally, Wi-Fi access and a Czech-language in-flight entertainment system will be available throughout the journey,” added Jelinek.

Until now, Vietnam’s natural beauty has predominantly attracted adventurous travelers who are not afraid to explore on their own. However, Phu Quoc, though somewhat off the beaten path, is paradoxically situated closer to Cambodia than the rest of Vietnam. Locals describe the island as a place where time moves a bit slower. Phu Quoc is renowned for its stunning natural landscapes, pristine white beaches, and its reputation as a haven for food enthusiasts, particularly due to the cultivation of highly aromatic black pepper.
