Hazard games could be taxed in the Czech Republic with two rates from 2016 – a lower rate for gambling games and higher rate for gaming machines. The Ministry of Finance’s original plan foresaw a single rate of 25%. The spokesperson for the ministry, Kateřina Vaidišová, has confirmed to ČIANEWS that the rate for lotteries and other similar games run with technical systems is now proposed at 28%, while other games should be taxed with 23%.
