Prague, Nov 24 (CTK) – Czech Deputy Prime Minister Pavel Belobradek (Christian Democrats, KDU-CSL) appreciated the work of nongovernmental organisations that help dealing with the migrant wave, he said in a written statement issued after his meeting with representatives of these NGOs yesterday.
Belobradek said cooperation with NGOs was very important and the NGOs were irreplaceable in many respects.
He met representatives of UNICEF, Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders and the Czech Consortium of Migrants Assisting Organisations, among others.
Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka (Social Democrats, CSSD) had a meeting with representatives of NGOs providing aid and assistance to migrants last week, symbolically on the national holiday of November 17.
After the meeting, Sobotka praised the work of the hundreds of volunteers who were trying to pass on their experience with migrants.
