Pisek, South Bohemia, Oct 23 (CTK) – The Hungarian film “The Sound of Concrete” (Betonzaj) won the main prize at the International Festival of Student Films Pisek and the jury awarded another six films at the close of the four-day event yesterday.
More than 60 films were presented at the festival, director Vladana Tercova said.
She said the screenings attracted great interest of visitors.
Prizes were awarded to films from South Korea, Argentina, Germany and Russia.
The jury members included Carol Ann Pool, former head of the film, television and media chair at the British University in Edge Hill.
The festival is connected with the establishment of the Private film school in Pisek. Its founders, Vladana and Milon Terc, organised the first festival in 1997. Until the 6th edition, it was held once in two years.
