UNIPETROL RPA and Jadranski Naftovod signed on November 22, 2016, the general agreement on the transport of crude oil with the Adria pipeline. The Adria pipeline could serve as an alternative route to Druzhba and IKL pipelines in the future. Unipetrol’s board of directors chairman and CEO Andrzej Modrzejewski has stated that the contract will allow oil transport in the pipeline’s Croatian section. The contractual conditions were entered into for three years. The pipeline may be used for deliveries to refineries in Kralupy nad Vltavou and Litvínov. Unipetrol is also leading talks about terms of transport above the framework of the contract in the Hungarian section. The firm hopes to sign this contract in 2017.
