Coal mining company Severočeské Doly will mine the currently inaccessible brown coal reserves in Nástup Tušimice mines in Chomutov district using the room-and-pillar mining method. The spokesperson for Severočeské Doly, Lukáš Kopecký, has told ČIANEWS, that the company has obtained the EIA approval and two weeks ago submitted the application for permission of mining to the Most District Mining Office. Mr. Kopecký estimates that mining will commence in mid-2018. The new method will employ totally 120 persons.
