Mobile payments were used for transactions totalling CZK 2.028bn in 2015. The Premium SMS service dominated in the total transaction value with over CZK 1.5bn. This stems from the data from the Association of Mobile Networks Operators (APMS). According to APMS, the options for payments for public transit fares and parking fees were expanded last year. SMS tickets are currently offered by 16 cities in the Czech Republic and parking fees may be paid via SMS in 45 locations in the Czech Republic.
