The news of a terrible crime startled the public on Wednesday morning. According to early reports, a young Ukrainian male sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl before stabbing her, dousing her in a liquid—likely gasoline—and throwing her off a cliff after wrapping her up in a bag.
A young man the girl knew persuaded her to go for a walk on Wednesday night, but the walk unexpectedly ended up where it wasn’t supposed to—in the woods. There, he bound her hands, taped her lips, raped her, stabbed her, and, thinking she was already dead, hurled her down a cliff. Even though she was severely hurt, the girl made it to her friend’s house, where an ambulance was dispatched.
While paramedics transported the girl to the hospital, police promptly surrounded the area and started their investigation. A police spokeswoman claimed that the attacker also robbed the girl in addition to other crimes.
Just a few hours after the incident, forensic investigators caught the suspect thanks to a prompt and thorough investigation. The 18-year-old Ukrainian was detained and accused of rape and attempted murder. His arrest will be the subject of a hearing tomorrow.
