This weekend, the Czech Republic is expected to experience a slight decrease in temperatures along with widespread showers and thunderstorms. According to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), sunnier and warmer weather is anticipated to return next week.
As per the weekly weather forecast shared by the meteorologists on Facebook, most areas will witness summer temperatures above 25 C°C today, except for the northeastern part of the country. Tomorrow (Friday), the majority of regions will continue to have summer-like temperatures. However, there will be an increase in cloud cover, and in the afternoon and evening, showers and even thunderstorms are likely to occur, particularly in Bohemia.
During the weekend, a slight cooling trend is expected. The skies will alternate between partially cloudy conditions with heavy clouds and showers, while thunderstorms are predicted for Saturday. On Saturday, the daytime temperatures will range from 20 to 24 °C, reaching as high as 26 °C in the Polabí and Poohří regions. Meteorologists anticipate daytime highs between 22 and 26 °C on Sunday, with slightly warmer temperatures in southern Moravia.
