Total revenues of the Czech Republic’s 2015 budget stood at CZK 111bn as of January 31, 2015. Total expenditure amounted to CZK 82.4bn, i.e. the budget surplus totalled CZK 28.6bn. The year-on-year drop in the budget surplus from CZK 45bn reported in 2014 was caused by a lower collection of excise tax on tobacco products, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.
